High EGTs

This my first time posting soo! 116,000 on my '04 F-350,had an oil leak at the oil cooler gasket. Decided to rebuild the turbo because I had it off, it had no problems. Suddenly my EGTs go way up. Took the turbo back off and noticed oil in the compressor housing, quite a lot of oil! Oil leak at the seal I thought bit the new seal and housing looked fine! Not sure what I did wrong. Anybody experience this? TIA

did you had the turbo completely disassembled? How high are your EGTs?

Oil is normal from the CCV system, the amount is a bit subjective.
Are you sure you got the VGT actuator indexed correctly if you had that out?

Yes, I had the turbo clear down, replaced the bushings, thrust plate, seals. At WOT within 4 seconds or so it's at 1200-1300.

Oil was actually puddling in compressor horn and cac tube! I can't come up with any other reason for the high EGT's except reburning the oil. I manually pushed the VGT piston and it all moved smoothly.
