This my first time posting soo! 116,000 on my '04 F-350,had an oil leak at the oil cooler gasket. Decided to rebuild the turbo because I had it off, it had no problems. Suddenly my EGTs go way up. Took the turbo back off and noticed oil in the compressor housing, quite a lot of oil! Oil leak at the seal I thought bit the new seal and housing looked fine! Not sure what I did wrong. Anybody experience this? TIA
Oil was actually puddling in compressor horn and cac tube! I can't come up with any other reason for the high EGT's except reburning the oil. I manually pushed the VGT piston and it all moved smoothly.
