Hey All, figured I would put my findings in for this lift mod for my 90 F150. My springs are not Moog but the O'reilly's Precision brand with all the same specs. I only went with them for one reasons, they got them to me the next day unlike everyone else. Anyway here is what I measured before doing this on my truck:
Drive Side:
Hub Center to Fender Center 19 15/16"
Center Fender to Floor 34 13/16"
Bottom of Shock to Bolt Center 13 1/8"
Passenger Side:
Hub Center to Fender Center 19 11/16"
Center Fender to Floor 34 7/16"
Bottom of Shock to Bolt Center 13 5/16"
AFTER INSTALL:
Drive Side:
Hub Center to Fender Center 21 9/16"
Center Fender to Floor 36 1/4"
Bottom of Shock to Bolt Center 14 1/16"
Passenger Side:
Hub Center to Fender Center 21 9/16"
Center Fender to Floor 36 1/8"
Bottom of Shock to Bolt Center 14 3/16"
I measured while half out of my garage, so it could be the difference between them. I don't have a flat enough spot to do it as my garage is a mess right now. I also did the three measurements as all the post I have seen measured at those spots. Now, on to the few pics I grabbed.
Before install. Running 32x11.50 BFG's stock height, well 30 yrs sagging height anyway. Spring comparison. I did notice while installing these, my shocks are about 2 to 3 inches short of the spring with the axle hanging as I had the truck on a jack stand. But after I put it on the ground it seemed fine. Rode like an F250 with a light 300 4.9 in it.
That raised the truck up quite a bit. Looks good. Aren't the Moog 844 springs F250 springs? I wonder how much they sagged, That looks not far from normal to me. These trucks never sat very high. The trick now will be getting an alignment. Hopefully there is enough adjustment in the eccentric camber bushing to bring it back into spec.
Yeah they fall under the F250 category from what I read. I had the Moog PDF file on them some where, but I believe it was just over 3 inches of sag, well that was with a F250, I have a lighter engine that what came in most F250's. I took it back to the alignment shop, my adjustable camber bushings wouldn't go into the negative, alignment guy said I needed -1 degree camber bushings. I installed those, need to get it back to the shop to be checked again. I been busy replacing sway bar bushings and getting general maintenance done.
