Hello All, new guy here just wanted to include some info about my truck and a few pictures as well.

To save from typing out the history I am just going to cpy and paste from the display board I am having made for shows.

 1949 Ford F-1
Owner - Brandon Rogers
Built - 1 August 1949 Dallas, Texas

Engine – Orignal 239 Rebuilt by Rays Engines in Tyler, Tx
Transmission – Original 3 speed manual
Paint – Quality Auto Works in Whitehouse Texas
Restoration – Don Chandler and Dennis Noble, with the help and advice of Jimmy Montgomery.
Restoration Time – 5 Months

History
Originally Purchased by Joel Amos Bell (Great Grandfather of Current Owner) of Tyler, Texas
Mr. Bell Gave the truck to his grandson Willard Rogers in 1977, who drove it for about 5000 miles before placing it in a dirt floor garage where it sat for over 20 years. Don Chandler purchased the truck in July of 2008 and began restoration with the goal of finishing it in time to drive in the Rose Parade later that year. When Don was diagnosed with cancer a short time later, many people throughout the community pitched in to help him finish restoration in time for the parade. Work was done mostly after work and on weekends, sometimes after working late Dennis would leave with Don only until Don was out of sight, he would then go back and work several more hours without him knowing. Work continued until very late the night before the parade but it was completed and Don was able to drive it in the parade! Sadly Don passed away in July of 2009. Jeanie Chandler (Dons Wife) sold it to Brandon Rogers (Great Grandson of the original owner) in December of 2009. No engine pics for some reason, but I am taking it to set up for a local show tomorrow. Ill make sure I take some and get them on here.

Not much snow in East Texas any time of year haha. We did get some flurries the other day, pretty big news around here.

Just a quick question. Who's Dennis in the story? He obviously played a big part in the truck's restoration and I'm curious about how he's connected.

Wow that is one beautiful truck and a great story.
What color are those rims? That is a nice shade, it adds flair without overpowering.

I can't wait to see engine pictures too.

The wheels are a maroonish color. Ive been trying to get a hold of the paint shop to get specs on the colors but so far no returned calls. Ill just have to go on over and give them a nudge.

Brandon, beautiful truck! Great story and great work.
Love that part of Texas, my parents retired just outside of Palestine years ago on 80 beautiful acres of land but after they died we had to sell the place.
