Did I say that loud enough? There will always be one connector or another thingy from the old harness that you'll wish you'd kept to make the install go smoother. As soon as you throw the old one away you'll find out just what those were!

Don't throw anything away! As far as the harness if guys would just pull the whole thing out without cutting it is much easier to work on and repair and reuse. So if you have a rats nest under the dash, label every thing pull it out lay it on the bench and clean it up it will make it easier to understand.
Great answers to Red60's question. It took me about two weeks, working a few hours a day. Troubleshooting took the most time. I never mind a hijack when good advice is being given, then it's called helping your buddies.
