Today I realized that the wipers in my '65 F250 were no longer working when it started raining while I was driving down the interstate. I've owned the truck since June 2019, and the wipers worked when I purchased it (I had avoided driving in the rain because the vent window was missing). Before I replace the wiper motor, I wanted to check some other avenues. Anyone have any ideas for other things I could check? Thanks.
Adam, I agree, You might want to jiggle the connections just to see if it could be loose. Then verify that there is power to the motor.
If you are going to have to spend money, I would suggest upgrading to a later (70s) motor (keep the arm off the motor for proper parking) add delay switch and modernize. I promise, you will like it.
Well, that was an easy fix. I had my headlamp on and my multimeter in hand. Then I look a look at the back of the wiper switch, and I could see right away that it wasn't fully connected. Oh well, thanks for the advice.

John, I don't need a new wiper motor now, but I may upgrade in the future. Any particular year I should look at for the 70s wiper motor swap? Thanks.
Man it's been over 20 years since I messed with one, but I think it just needs to be a multi speed. These trucks came with single speed. Seems if you add delay you need to find one with rotary control not slider.
Hope this helps.
