I'm not sure what the wire is called, but there's a connector hanging off of the wire going into my coil that isn't connected to anything. I don't see anything within range that looks like it would take it, but it's kind of an odd thing to have, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions.
I'll take a wag at it, If it has 12 volts B+ on it at KOEO, it may be the connector to the radio noise capacitor, hearing any alternator whine in the speakers???? If that capacitor shorts out it'll blow the 24 amp IP fuse for the coil pack, so maybe that's why its disconnected ????
I can't contribute additional knowledge about what this is or what it does, but here's how that connector is attached & routed on my '97 Ranger XLT 4.0L.
