Question Can't remember where...

I tried reinstalling my tachometer today. When I first hooked it up, I had a coil, then Dan and I stayed up half the night once putting electronic ignition (and removed the coil) and hooked that wire somewhere to the dizzy... I guess. I marked all the wires and when I removed it last summer, before the cab swap and marked one of them as coil.... not much of a help 9 months later. Any ideas where it goes?

You still have a coil, that's it right there in the picture. It's now a TFI coil is all...

That wire is green, correct? It's called the tach feed wire and it should go to the TFI coil. Does it have a female spade terminal on the end of it? Looking at the pic, I believe it goes to the frontmost terminal along with the other wire that's already there. I think we used an adapter there that plugs onto the male spade terminal on the coil and lets you plug two spade connectors onto it.

Ok... this is going to be really hillbilly mechanic here. When I originally put the tach in. There was a ton of green wire left over for the coil wire. The ground wire was not long enough to get anywhere useful, so I used a good bit of the green wire to attach it to a screw to the inner fender with the old cruise control (now removed.)

I didn't see a spade terminal on the tach's coil wire yesterday. It may have fallen off though.

Is the tach wire long enough to reach to coil where it sits now? (We did hook it back up after we did the ignition swap, didn't we? Or you did it when you got home, I seem to recall...?)

I will check to see if the coil wire is long enough to reach to coil, where it is now. I don't remember if I hooked it back up at home or at your place. I probably lost those brain cells by using too much PB blaster.
