My 1977 F150 4X4 died last night, son was driving. The electrical system is complete shutdown. The fuel pump works it is wired direct and if I jump starter solenoid it works but nothing else. He was driving is started back firing and died which I assume is due to loss of fire. I have no schematics or anything. Is there a main fuse for the truck or is it likely ignition switch?
No it was smaller wire, however it looked as though it may have shorted to a bigger black wire as well a fire wall. I couldnt actually see any bare wire on the bigger one but the insulation had been compromised
