I am still having problems with my 90 f-150, i still have no power inside the truck with the key on. I have a new battery, cables solinoid. If i touch the two solinoid terminals the motor will crank but there is no power to the gauges ignition fuel etc. Also is there not a fuel pump reset switch. When i parked the truck a few months ago it ran and worked fine now i am baffled.
It sounds like one of two things to me.
1. It may have a wire chewed into by a varmint.
2. If not number one above than an open fuse link in the area of the starter solenoid.
For the fuse links just try and stretch them and if they stretch they are bad.
The fuse links are in the smaller wires coming off the battery side of the starter solenoid and going to the Fuse Block and the ignition and the Headlight switches. These are the same wires that a varmint may have chewed.
