Engine Swap

I have a 1998.F150 4x4 with 4.2 and it is bad..I found a 2001 4.2 with 94000 miles...Will this engine work in my 1998 model truck?

Is the 2001 also an F150 similar to your 1998?

Mine is 4x4 and motor came from 2wd but everything looks the same except the upper intake and under hood looks the same..

I'd bet it would work, but haven't done it myself. Perhaps someone who has done this and/or knows from experience will chime in.
