New to the 2015+ forum and this has probably been covered already. But I have a new to me ‘17 that I can’t figure out if it has the towing package. On my ‘09 if it had towing mirrors and brake controller it had it and that included a tranny cooler. This truck has the controller but the smaller mirrors. I have a camper so I’m really just worried about the tranny cooler. Is there someplace to look that up? TIA
Most of the free Window sticker sites no longer work. I did find monroneystickers.com this morning that claims to be able to generate one for $7.99. I have never used them nor will I since my original is in the owners manual pouch in the glove box. The other option is the nearest dealer. They should be able to get you one.
Good luck.
The larger towing mirrors are an option separate from the towing package. If you have the integrated brake controller you probably have one of the towing packages. What are you towing? The Max Tow package is some what rare while a standard tow pack is somewhat common.

The factory tow mirrors used on the previous generation debuted in 2011 and at that time were part of the max tow package. In 2015 Ford made them a stand alone option to either the mid or max tow package. You didn't give us many specs on your 17, it was a split year with two possible transmissions and other changes.
One sure way to tell is if the safety chain hookups on the rear hitch are at an angle it has the Max Tow Package, if they are straight across it's the regular tow package. Also the trans cooler is mounted in front of the condenser as you should be able to see it through the grill towards the passenger side,
I’m certain I don’t have the max tow package. I do have the trans temp readout in the screen in das but not a standalone gauge that may be what you mean. I’m towing a camper about 5500 lbs. I didn’t see a cooler but I need to look again.
edit. I’ll add I do have the 5.0 and the 6 speed trans not sure if that helps any.
Go to a Ford dealer and have them print you out a window sticker from you trucks vin number, might cost you $10 but you'll know everything the truck came with.
FYI only 3.5 eco truck could have max tow, other options were tow package and just a hitch, brake controller could be optioned with either one.
My 18 5.0 STX came with tow package and brake controller but standard mirrors.
If you have a ‘17, do you have pro trailer backup assist? If you do, you have a second **** on the dash above your brake controller but below your drive selector.
If you have that, you have at a minimum the trailer tow package, which includes the trans cooler and upgraded front stabilizer bar. You may also have max tow.
If you do not have backup assist, you have the level IV trailer hitch option, which only included the hitch and connector.
Should you wish to figure out your exact options, the dealer can easily give you a PDF of your original window sticker. The old link technically still works but requires Ford credentials to use now. Just be specific that you are just trying to determine your truck’s options - Ford also sells full re-prints (some people like them for frames, etc. especially on limited edition vehicles). My dealer would happily email me PDF window stickers on any vehicle so long as I had the VIN when I was shopping for my truck, no charge.
The screen has some configuration options on it for gauge setup. Your truck will pull that camper with ease. A 5,500 lbs trailer is nothing for an F150 with a 5.0.
I looked at a towing guide & it shows the lowest maximum trailer rating at 7,800 and the highest maximum rating 11,000 lbs for the 5.0. Worst case you have 2,300 lbs head room.

no I don’t have the backup assist so that’s what I figured. Thanks
