Vehicle security module
Just bought an 06 and I believe it has a bad VSM. The dome lights stay on constant, no automatic head lights etc. can I get a used one? To my understanding ford will need to program it, correct? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can get a use a used VSM and, yes, it needs to be programmed for your specific truck. Unless you can find a way (or someone with a way) to program it, it will have to be done at a dealer (which is not free by any means).
I've read the As-Built data from your VSM using FORScan (free for you laptop). I'm not sure if FORSCan will program a VSM though.
