PLEASE!!! Help me ID a cooling system part


I need help with the threaded piece coming out of the thermostat housing. Need to get a new one but not sure what it is called. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys.

What motor is that? By my best guess that's a coolant temp sensor, but I don't see any wires coming off of it.

If that is a 7.5 motor, that is the connection for the inlet heater hose. Sandy

I agree that's for a heater hose. I believe I have seen those in Napa in the Dorman "Help" section. If I swing by Napa in the next day or two I'll look and if I find it I will try to get you a P/N

Worst case, you can just get a 90 degree barbed fitting in the proper pipe size and connect the heater hose to it.

Unless you happen on the exact part somewhere, it'd be much less hassle to just buy the above.

Depending on how your accessories run, you could possibly get away with a straight fitting also.

You could just cut the rot off and weld on new. Unless I had a good one laying around that would be my option.

Im trying to clean up this mess.. It was sitting for quite a while and not maintained very well for years before that. I will post my progress later on. I have the motor out for painting. Nothing fancy but it will look much better than this im sure.
