Rear diff tag plate

Hi everybody.

I’m new on the site, happy owner of 1986 Bronco all the way from Finland. Had to find a way to cruise thru the winter and snow with older American, so this was the way to go.

Anyways, started to decode more closely some parts on the car, and been able to find help from the internet pretty well but..
is there any place to find out what different “revision identifier” letters mean? I found answers to all the other stuff, but that annoys me, what do they mean. As I have the code “S810P”. What does the P stand for? Seen other letter as well and have just been wondering the different meaning on those letters.

Or could be that I just lack the understanding of the translation in Finnish of it.. who knows. Or is it just that simple that it means the month of the production as well..

Thank you already. It’s been nice to find some info from here already.

"S810P" on a tag from a differential translates to '84 to '86 F150. 3.55 ratio, non-limited slip, 8.8" ring gear.

Since it's in a Bronco there is some question as to if it is the OEM axle, swapped In, or the chart is wrong.

This is the source of my decoder ring for these. No guarantee this is 100% correct:

Ford Rear Axle Assembly Identification - Page 14 - FORDification.com

They explain how to read the axle tag at the top of the page.

Revisions happened all the time, and I am not familiar with decoding them etc. Each one would have to be taken in context regarding production date, and other vehicle revisions. I think.

Thanks for this. That was what I was able to decode, and I think it’s original diff. It also matches the sticker info which is on the driver door pilar. The second line on the diff tag was 355 88 6FO9, so you are correct what it is.

I was more interested if there is anywhere info about those Revision codes and what do they mean. Ofcoirse I don’t know if those things were ever even listed, but Just thought to give it a try.
