have discovered fuel leaking from whatever it is the fuel filter on top screws into. Recently had HPOP and oil sending unit replaced. Also replaced tubing and such on turbo. What could cause the fuel leak? And the cap is on tight and the leak isn’t from the cap is somewhere below it, right under the turbo pipe.
any ideas?
Upon further inspection the leak is definitely coming from the fuel filter housing. Don’t know yet if it’s a connection or a crack in the actual housing. Not really sure what the part is called other the. Fuel filter housing.
Unless they removed the oil and fuel filter setup, which would not be normal, it’s most likely the filter cap o-ring. The caps can crack if they are over-torqued, since they are plastic, so that should be checked too.
If the filter assembly was removed, you could have a fitting leak. Any chance you had them do a ”blue spring” upgrade?
I had a leak like that. It turned out to be the spring housing gasket. I bought the blue spring upgrade and replaced. Solved my problem. Check fuel lines connections also.
