Question on torque pro PIDS

I just got a bafx bluetooth obd11 dongle and downloaded the torque pro app. My question is why cant I read any of the important PIDS? wanted to see what ebp , map, and several others . The only ones that are available are highlighted in green and unfortunately most of the pids I am trying to view are not available. Also my coolant temperature is reading -40 Celsius? Am I doing something wrong here? I just figured I would be able to view the common pids , but that doesn't seem to be the case

Did you set up the predefined set for Ford? Go into settings, manage extra PID/Sensors, press the 3 dots top right corner and select add predefined set, select Ford (include powerstroke).

If you have a 4R100 truck, you cannot read coolant temperature. If you have a ZF6 truck, you can read coolant temperature. Most 4R100 drivers read EOT instead and that gives them a good idea of what the coolant temperature is at.

You need to load the pre-defined Powerstroke PID list.

Not doing anything wrong just having to figure it out like most of us.

Like Sous said automatic tranny trucks don't send coolant temp to the computer. The sender on our trucks is basically a resistor that feeds the dash directly so you can't see it through OBDII
