Suddenly getting 5 beeps 5 times. I’ve found some things that suggest the air bag light bulb in the cluster is out or loose. However, on my 2006 F150, there is no bulb for the air bag light.
Since this is a printed circuit board, is it possible one of the sockets or bulbs is bad and therefore not allowing the circuit to be completed?
A couple of things:
I took out the cluster. On the backside there are 2 different color socks. Black and gray. There might be one or 2 bulb blown as I look at the elements. Unsure what size bulbs to replace with as there are no numbers.
Put cluster back in. Now the odometer display is blank.
if I hit the dash the air bag light blinks on like there is a short.
I had the same issue, it's an airbag system fault, or at least the truck thinks it is. My issue was the cluster was acting up. The missing bulb isn't helping. What I ended up doing is actually disconnect the wire the wire from the main connecter in the back of the cluster. So now there is no signal to the cluster regarding the cluster. The cluster will need to be sent out to be repaired, this is simply just a temporary work around. Now if there is a legit fault in the SRS system you wouldn't know, so there is a risk.
