I am looking for a pair of short running boards for my 1953 F-100 Stake Bed. I believe the OEM P/N is 16450 and 16451, right and left. I have located a pair on a 1953 F-500 that appear to be the same part, but I would like to confirm this before buying them. Does anyone out there (Bill AKA Number Dummy?) know if this is true? Second question, does anyone know where I could source new short running boards? So far all I have found are long ones for the pickups. Finally, are grilles and other front end parts interchangeable between the ’53 F-500 and the ’53 F-100?

They are not the same. The F100-f350 have 3 raised ribs where the f500/600 have 4 raised ribs

I acquired a nice pair of short running boards. I cleaned them up and painted them. As I went to put them on my truck, I realized they are too big.
Here are the 100-350 ones compared to the larger ones.
So, If someone is looking for a large set. I have them. Maybe I just need to buy a large truck to put them on.

Now you're talking! What happened to that F600 you found several years ago?

Was that several years ago? Probably, I haven't seen the guy Maybe I should convince Kevin to buy it. That way he could drive the running boards down and save us both shipping costs.
