02 excursion 5.4 problem pleas help
So recently recently I purchased a 02 excursion been having problems with battery drain and wont crank I've replaced battery and alternator still having issue drains battery and wont crank ? I've checked voltage positive wire and its throwing 14.3-14.5 battery and alternator aswell cant seem to figure out the problem

in the mean time lets see if we can narrow down the scope of the issue.

what is the rate of Draw ?
are there any non factory electric devices such as radio , amps , converters ?
do you have access to a power probe or a multimeter ?

Had the same type of scenario happen with my old '98 Expedition with the 5.4. Drove me nuts for about a month trying to figure it out.
I ended up replacing the main battery cables, both positive and negative, with OEM replacements and it fixed the problem. My best guess is the wires started to corrode inside the insulation and it was shorting at the connections. Had a similar problem with the positive wire on a car a few years before that.
That Expy is still happily cruising down the road with no issues since I fixed that (a friend bought it a couple years ago for a work car).
