A friend of mine was asking me when I fix my steering column, is there a collapsible colum I can upgrade to?
I'm not sure. I've looked around and really haven't found anything I can use.
is there a collapsible steering column for a 3 on the tree? It's a '64 F100 with a I6 223 I'm going to stay with.
My goal is to replace things on this truck. It's not for high performance or a show piece. Just something I can take my girlfriend out for an occasional ice cream.
I shortened a tilt column from an 1977 Lincoln Towncar, and installed in my 63. To get rid of the solid steering shaft I used the guts form a 64 Galaxie in my steering box, that provided me with the short shaft for the rag joint. And yes the tilt is collapsible/ but not 3 on the tree. Move shifter to the floor!!
