Just bought a new 2019 F350 XL STX Dually 4x4 Powerstroke and looking at getting a bed liner. I had a spray in liner on my F150 which worked well. Anyone heard of Dualliner?
Who could've guessed that a Line-X video would show that Line-X Premium is a better product? Weird. I totally didn't see that coming.
Ford factory liner is about $500. Line-X Premium is about $700. So, it's about 30-40% more expensive for Line-X. If I were a contractor, I'd probably consider it.

If one finances their truck, they are paying interest on that $540 OEM bedliner too....so the cost difference is much less in the long run. In my specific situation, it was cheaper for me to go with the better Line-X than OEM. Just something to consider...
If you can afford the $700 Line-X Premium, then you wouldn't finance the $500 Ford liner.
OEM liner will be about $506 OTD (because we don't pay MSRP). If you finance that over 60 months at 5% APR, then it will cost you about $600. But, if you have $700 cash to pay for Line-X, then why would you be financing the $500 Ford liner? Makes no sense. Rather, you'd be putting that money against your down payment and reducing your loan by that figure. You might still be financing a portion of your truck, but not the liner part.
Either that, or you keep that $700 in your pocket and spend it on something else. But, I'd argue that, at that point, the Ford financing was really paying for that something else ... you had liner money and spent it on something else, thereby increasing your loan amount.
If anything, it works the other direction.
Let's assume a 5% loan over 5 years (60 mo). The price of the truck *with the Ford Liner* is $55,000 and you have $10,000 in your pocket. You finance $45,000. Your monthly payment is $849 and the total cost is $50,952.
Now let's assume you decide to go with Line-X Premium instead. So, your truck's price decreases by $506 to $54,494 and your down payment decreases by $700. Thus, the amount you now finance is $45,194 ($54,494 - $9,300). Your payment increases a few bucks to $853 and a total cost of $51,172. That's an additional $220 out of pocket over the life of the loan.
Thus, the Line-X cost ~$220 more when financing ... a bit more (not less) than the apparent $200 price difference when paying cash.
