I am searching for a shortbed camper shell to fit my 79 crewcab with cargo light. I am running into dead end after dead end. If I find any on the various facebook groups they are the long bed, or they dont fit the profile of the cab. I do not care for the after market aluminum ones. If anyone has any leads on a factory ford topper I would appreciate it. Or know of an aftermarket fiberglass one that would look good. Thank you in advance, located in east Tn.
Sorry no info here Tn, but I'm curious what others have to say. I've personally never seen a factory topper on a short bed, that I can recall anyway. Hopefully they were made though.
And I had thought too, until recently, that there were other years Ford trucks that had a similar cant to the back of the cab so you could use those years shells on our vintage trucks. But there was a great picture thread here just last week or so that showed side-by-side comparisons of the different year shells on our trucks. And while some were in fact fairly close, there weren't any that were close enough.
Very informative.
