Firstly, this is my first posting, so I am looking forward to some good reading.
Secondly, I tried to see if my question has been answered elsewhere, so I would not waste your time answering yet another 'same old question'.
I have had a 79 Camper Special for sometime and personally have not seen to many like it and I was wondering if they (Ford) made a number of them in this configuration or rather was this a common factory built configuration:
No Sir, there is no camper attached to the truck. The model is a F250 Camper Special.

A Cab & Chassis configuration comes without a bed. Post the VIN...that will answer the question if your truck was shipped as a Cab & Chassis, or with a Styleside bed.
For the record: Camper Specials used Styleside beds only. A Cab and Chassis or a Flareside is not a Camper Special.

F25JREG0117 Also, the package shown above is the 'Camper Special' I am referring to.
F25 = Series Code = F250 2WD PICKUP. A pickup is defined as having a bed, a Cab and Chassis is not what your truck was shipped as.
If your truck was shipped as a Cab and Chassis, the series code would be F27, not F25.
Post ALL the numbers off your VIN plate. Mil1ion and I can decode all the info. Mil1ion is a faster typist, and has refs at the ready, so he'll prolly beat me to it.
I'm using microfiche . He's not....

133 wheelbase, and the K trans code, I knew off the cuff, too...but I figured you'd beat me to it, since I'm the world's worst typist...and have to correct all the typos, so I posted what I could, as fast as inhumanly possible.
