Start assistance
Does anybody know of a jump starter, portable power unit that will work on a 6.0 diesel. I bought a Schumacher model today at Advanced Auto and it will not do the job. The box says it will only work on 4-6 cylinders. Not anywhere enough power in this.

I use a Stanley JumpIt 1000 for my truck. I used it on my '05 6.0 several times and also on my current '12 6.7. Very strong unit for jump starts, has a light, 12v plug, USB port, and air compressor. Very handy. Wouldn't be without it. Bought it on Amazon. Don't recall the price, but it was very reasonable.

Okay, here is an update. Had to have it towed to my local diesel shop, not the stealership, but I had him replace the starter. It was the original one, 13 years old. Probably ready for the Smithsonian. He installed a starter from a 6.4 because it spins faster. Amazing results. Thanks for all the help gents.
