Intermittent whistle

2008 F350 Driving at hwy speeds there is a whistle that comes and goes. Only seems to do this in the winter. Occasionally it will have a very pronounced whistle in high idle also. If I put my foot into it seems to go away. Has anyone had this?

I have this too, I believe it comes from the turbo. Cold weather means dense air. Bearings are starting to go in the turbo, the right combination of speed and cold air results. In the whistle.

It did it last year too just apparently annoying me more this year......there is no rhyme or reason go it just whenever it wants. It doesn't seem to affect anything at all, I watch the programmer when it acts up. It honestly sound like radio feedback from when we were kids installing stereos in our rides cause we thought we were cool lol
