Intermitent belt chirp
I have had a belt squeak that sounds like it hits a certain spot as it goes around and chirps as if someone increase and decreases the volume of the chirp....i put dish soap on the belt and it immediately got quiet. Then after a minute it got very loud as if something was going to explode. Belt was replaced 30k miles ago and looks good. Where should i start with replacing parts? Idler pulley has no play but makes a squeak noise if spun by hand as well as ac compressor.

Try taking a piece of hose (2’), with truck running put one end to your ear and carefully listen to each component. You’ll be able to isolate where the chirp is coming from rather than throwing parts at it. Sometimes you just need to let a component get worse before you can isolate the problem. Try taking the belt off and rotating each part separately.
