I don’t know, had my radiator on for 2 1/2 years now without issues. I wouldn’t want to leave off the fan shroud either but the stator behond it is most likely coming off for good because it’s a pain and lots of guys leave it off with no ill effects. I’ve heard more negative things about IPR than Mishimoto but who knows.

At least I've never heard of any coolant leaks from the Mishi's. Mostly guys saying they look to small, don't have enough rows, bla, bla, bla. I still haven't seen any data that suggests they don't cool as well as the stock units.
I read some negative things about Mishimoto, so I didn't buy it. Shipping to Germany is also difficult.
Vince now sends me everything on pallet, I'm just skeptical if airflow is optimal without fan shroud.
I don't understand why they have to make the core any thicker. The stock radiator maintains temperature just fine. I'm curious whether they are referring to the fan stator or front shroud when they state "fan shroud". They are both shrouds to me. Despite the things (both of them) being a darn pain in the **** to work around, I prefer to leave them in. Having just repaired my fan clutch cable, I understand wanting it gone, but I also know how to work with it now, so it won't be much of a struggle in the future although I have yet to try changing the belt with it in place.
I think another benefit besides optimal air flow is minimizing dust and grit stirred up by turbulence when driving or parked idling on dirt roads, which I've done a fair amount of. My inner radiator was pretty darn clean despite me not cleaning my engine very often.
With your skills and shop equipment, you might be able to fabricate a shroud that would fit, or modify the existing one to fit with a thicker radiator.
I'll report back. I will not be able to report experiences before February. In summer I will go through Sweden to Lapland (a 5000miles trip), after that I will know if it is good or not.

The tubes and fins come in many designs. The OE designs are the most costly to manufacture, but they are the most efficient. I have never bought an aftermarket radiator that was as efficient as the OE ones, even when they are the same depth and row count, which I've checked at the counter before installing them.
I bought a Motorcraft radiator for my truck. Visually it looks the same as the OE one, and hopefully, it will perform as well as the old one has changed because of age, not a failure at 16 years.
Same here. Bought it this spring/summer. Come in the Ford box which was very well packed
I figured this one lasted 90K miles and 13 years before it had issues. While I would have liked to buy the Mishimoto I figured I can easily buy two OE radiators for the cost of one Mishimoto. The Ford thermostat on the other hand I can't say I like very much.
My Mishimoto was $360 to my door and it is not a knockoff. I called Mishimoto to confirm and register it. I post the seller a few posts above, look for them on eBay.

I know a couple who did that trip on a motorbike and sidecar, it'll be luxury for you!
I just want to give an update, I found my paperwork from when I bought my last radiator which was an OEM from rockauto. Well since it has the motorcraft 2 year warranty, I am processing it through rockauto to get it warrantied. The bad part about this is since I couldn't wait I had to buy the replacement first, then I am supposed to get a refund when they get the old one back. I will follow up when this get resolved ine way or the other.
From things people have said be sure that you dot the i's and cross the t's.
Some online sellers try to get out of everything they can for any tiny reason.
I had an ebay mishimoto in my 03. It looked pretty but didnt cool worth a ****. I put it in before heading to florida pulling the camper. I got to jacksonvolle and called mishimoto because my temps were riding 225/235. They warranteed the rad for their new one. I ended up buying a performance rad at their jacksonville distributor and swapped the units in a campground parkinglot. The outside air temp stayed at about 95 and my temps dropped by almost 15 degrees. That ebay mishimoto is NOT intended for towing heavy and thats why they redesigned it to the bigger one they sell now for like 700$. If you work your truck, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE EBAY MISHIMOTO.
Also someone told me that Ford does not like to ship the stock radiators do to
UPS,USPS and Fedex breaking them almost all the time.
Sadly that means one of the online sellers or a dealer.
