new 2019 f250, 3 K miles. So today i went to hook up a trailer to purchase a Side by side UTV. No trailer lights, so i replaced trailer plug. Still nothing, so next i went a got a test light, no power in the round plug on any pin. Dealer says come back friday , WTF brand new crap
did you check all the fuses under the hood and the kick panel.
In the past several have found no fuses in the power distribution box. The dealer should make it right.
If you have an in bed plug have them check that too.
Bears in mind that when I have purchases trucks, I would take delivery without them first, in my presence, take a tester and plug it into the connectors. Service techs have them and it only takes a second to do.
You don't have to set up a trailer or plug in and tap the brakes to get power to the plug. Have you ever used your truck to tow before? You probably have a bad fuse or, more likely, a bad relay. I think there's one under the hood that controls the pwr to the trailer tow plug.

Forgive me for asking what is probably a stupid question, but you are testing this with the engine and lights turned on?
it senses current demand to turn the trailer plug on.....which is a problem if you have LED lights that have low current draw...I had to put dropping resistors on my trailer lights so that a current demand activated the trailer plug. not sure how warranty friendly doing that is.
FWIW.....
When I plug my trailer into the 7 way, key off, nothing works.......
Plug trailer in, key on or truck running, I get a warning chime and a pop up saying: trailer connected
My late model Jayco is full LED, stop, tail, turn, markers; and works without any mods to the truck or trailer

Did you have to do anything special the first time you connected your trailer?
Our first truck camper did not have tail- or brake lights. I had to go through a setup routine the first time I plugged in the camper in order to activate he +12 battery charging circuit. I also installed a dummy load adapter to provide a load for the trailer brake light circuit current sensors.
IOW, the unusual electrical configuration of that camper (no brakes, no brake lights) may have required an unusual setup procedure.
Our new truck camper also has all-LED exterior lighting including brake lights, and I don’t need the load adapter for this camper..
I noticed this on my TT as well, I plugged it up to my truck to because the TT battery was dead and I needed to use the power jack. I found where you have to tap the brake after hooking up a trailer to get the 12v charge circuit to activate. Mine is a 2017. I also found in Forscan the other night where you can change it to be active all the time. I have not tried it yet though but the option is there.

Nope, I knew enough from reading FTE, to have the truck running when I made my very FIRST hook up. Door was open and I heard the warning chime...message - trailer connected, then I configured the trailer using the prompts in the trailer settings. I have since confirmed 12 volts at at the 7 way when connected with key on or truck running. Don't know about the brake light thing, as, I always hook up with the key on or truck running, so I always have power at the seven way.
As an aside - If I do an overnight without disconnecting the trailer, after shutting the truck off and RV set up, I pull the seven way then plug it back in again.......The next morning the truck gives me the trailer connected warning after starting.
Here you go! Ford Special Service Message:
SSM 46257
"All 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a factory trailer brake controller (TBC) utilize a trailer module (TRM) which initiates the trailer charging system. For trailer charging to operate, the TRM must detect a trailer is connected and a brake pedal input before charging will be present at the trailer connector. Adding the trailer battery charge relay and fuse into the battery junction box are not required to operate trailer charging with a TRM."
