Looking at a 1951 Ford F-1 what are the common things to look for rust wise on a Ford F-1---frame--cab corners-- floors--door bottoms-- what other areas or problems-- redone 10 years ago then stored all original with the 6 cyl--runs,,drives, shifts--NO brakes-I understand got to go over all mechanical's and fluids--Thanks
The fenders commonly rust in several places:
Fronts - the seam between the upper and lower pieces, the mating joint with the running boards
Rears - the mating joint with the running boards, the seam with the bed
Running Board - every place with a brace on the underside,
Any truck can also have rust on the underside of the doors or the cab corners depending on care conditions. Most frames survive in good shape if they escaped accident damage.

New truck? Gotta show pictures. You still have the black 54?
Abe --yes got the 54 --
Going to look at this one for a friend , will get pictures and condition when I get there to look at it-- so same problems to look for just like my 1953-56 Ford F-100's ---Thanks for the help
Yes, the earlier trucks have similar rust issues as the 53-6's. The fenders have issues where they were reinforced with double panels, at the running board and the front where the lower extension attaches. Rear fenders have similar issues at the running board and next to the bed along the back half of the fender. Cab corners and floors are pretty much typical of any old vehicle.
Here is a hidden spot you wight want to check. This is the cab where the fender welting rubs. If the truck has been used a lot you might have rust through like mine. It might be easiest to check from the inside with the kick trim panel removed.
