Struggling to match up the new harness for C9TZ-13341-C with my connector. I can trace out the wires from the connector on the truck, but Im not sure what the wires on the new harness go to. Here are the before pics prior to taking off the connector. I have a 65 F100 that has a 72 column.
7 wires and a blank.
I also made the mistake of taking this nut/bolt combo off, to assist with sliding the harness and it seems to be impossible to put back. The short bolt fell backwards from the nut. I dont see anything it attaches to. Any ideas what it helps with or how to replace it? Update: Got the bolt back on.
Here are the colors on the new switch harness C9TZ-13341-C. I can also see where the prior owner took the 2 connectors (a 6 and a 2) and merged them into 1 8 connector.
The bolt is one of the two bolts that connects the shift bowl and column to the flange. You might need to remove the other nut and pull the flange and then put it back together with both bolts and nuts installed.
I was able to get the bolt back on. A pick, a stack of magnets, a nail and a right angle pair of pliers and a got it. Whew.
Now to match up these wires.

This is the wrong switch for a 1972 column: C9TZ-13341-C = 1965/66 F100/250 2WD // 1966 F100 4WD // 1967/69 F100/350.
This is the correct switch: D0TZ-13341-B = 1970/72 F100/350.

I used a rubber band. Just put the bolts in the slots and secure them with a rubber band. You can then slide the housing over the bolts and get the nuts started without dropping anything. You end up losing the rubber band, but they are cheap.

Your truck is Thunderkiss1965 but from now on I will think of you as the Rubberband Man.
