Hey guys. I’ve been working on my uncles 06 f350 for past couple days. He said truck shut off while on the highway. Pulled over and it started up. Got it back home shut it off and left it for the night. Now it won’t start. I replaced both fuel filters. Still nothing. Did research and from what I got I should remove oil filter from top of engine and stick a screwdriver down to close the valve, then crank engine to see if oil filled up. Oil did come, but extremely slow. And it did fire up. Just for a few seconds then died. In that time the oil only raised half inch or so. Got new filter to put in, cranked for a bit and fired up. Ran for 2 minutes then stalled. Took filter out and filter was covered in oil completely and the canister was half full when I got it out. (Oil is full in crank) It will not start now. I thought I should now take out the oil pressure relief valve and clean it. Just wanted to make sure I got info correct. It takes a 12mm Allen socket. And a small drain pan for the little bit of oil in it. If the valve springs out when the cap comes off that means the valve was stuck. Is this all correct? And does anyone have any other ideas?
Not sure why you think it's oil related. Have you scanned it for codes? You need a device to read live data for anyone here to provide more than a guess.

got a code when it wouldn’t start. Was for crank sensor....not much help cause I know it has nothing to do with that. Then a p1379 after it stopped running that last time. There was other codes and he had a guy clear it, but he said it had something to do with #7 circuit low
Update: Took relief valve out. Little bit of oil came out, valve didn’t seem stuck. Put it back together. NO OIL in filter housing while cranking it over and plugging the drain. Decided to remove relief valve and crank, no oil cams out. I’m thinking either low pressure pump is shot or something is plugged. Any thoughts?
Buy a cheap borescope for you phone and take a look at the oil pump pick-up tube. Sounds like next is an inspection of the LPOP and front cover.
P1379 means you have a charging system issue (high voltage - over 16). Also you have a #7 injector issue to deal with before you wrap up the work on it.

how hard is it to get to the LPOP? Does it require a lot of disassembly? He is getting rid of the truck as it’s been costing too much in repairs, and we are just trying to get it going again before he gets rid of it. By using the borescope, do you mean going through the relief valve hole?
