I just purchased a 1970 F250 sport custom with a 390 C-6, it is in fantastic shape still has bias ply tires and split ring rims, with my purchase came a brand new set of headman headers, a tool box in the back, ford truck bible, studded snows mounted seperate,a straw cow boy hat and a roll of duct tape.
I know it needs a tune up bad, the carb needs adjusting and the tranny fluid changed, but the one thing is it makes a sucking noise that kind of quiets when I hit the brakes, could this be the vaccum hose for the power brakes, and the steering is kind of clunky could it be the knukle or whatever that thing is with the rubber sandwhiched between it.
any how it was after dark when I got it home so I will look it over better tommorow I am so pumped
Yep got the tuneup in her, now it needs a rear brake hose, came home last night no brakes!! good thing i have a big front yard cuz i didn't have a boat anchor to throw out. now I can't wait to put the headers, duals, and hopefully an alumiunum intake and four barrel soon keep yall posted, oh and some pictures too.
hahahaha- yea, with the chevy engine, it's mandatory!
I have a buddy with a truck like ours, he has a window sticker that says "real trucks rattle"
Thought that was fitting.
Alright! A cowboy hat and a roll of duct tape! Score! Blue came with a fishing pole and I found a fishing hook in Goblin's glove box (the hard way ). If my next truck comes with a reel and some line I'll be good to go!
yeah I have been waiting on my brake hose to come in, really suck's when I can't drive my new truck but I started spraying the exhuast bolts down so hopefully I wont break any when I go too get em off.
But I went to the exhuast shop and got two glass packs with about 18" of 2.5 inch pipe on them with turndowns can't wait to get it all bolted up.
Oh yeah I really like your guy's trucks, goblin and old blue are my style though mine earned it's name ol' yeller you'll see when I get some pic's.
