remote start range?
i have a question for you fellows you have the factory remote state as I do. I bought a 2019 F250 6.7 crew cab in Sept. Came with factory remote start. I never had remote start but wife told me I will like it in the winter etc. I was in the sticker build already so it did not matter anyway. So it seems the range is really short. maybe 25 feet or less. I have change batteries and tried them both. Today at work i was withing 10 feet and then the lock and remote start worked. Big deal, right ? why bother having it and paying for it if you have to be right on top of the truck to use it. Anyone else have this issue? just checking to see if it needs to go to dealer under warranty for this .... thanks Jeff

My truck got to be terribly short range all of a sudden, same as what you are describing it would only work if I was almost on top of the truck. Bought new lithium battery and now back to usual, as others have said these actually have very impressive range for the stock remote fob.

the ford pass app lets you start it without needing the remote, and the remote start can run longer. you can continue to extend it in the app. don't remember the last time I used the fob to remote start. oh and you can do it from anywhere !!

You have to pay to have the ford pass remote start right? I have ford pass but in my 2018 platinum it doesnt give that option.

The remote works like others stated from a very good distance. The Ford app is even better. I was at work over 350 miles away truck was at home told my wife to let me know when she was going to crank it up cause I wanted to see if it would work that far fired right up.
