I finally got up on the roof to check the rain gauge. The bucket was completely full of water & was not draining a drop out the bottom of the cone. 1m
Last couple of rainstorms we recorded zero rain. 1m
So the bottom was totally plugged with tree goop. I cleared the clog and away she went. Instantaneous reading was almost 2" of rain in about 5 seconds.
Happy Saturday all. Going to have to go to the store today before the rain gets here tomorrow and Monday. Interesting though is that those are the only two days they call for rain in the next ten days.
Forecast I saw seems to imply there will be more than that. Happy that Saturday is clear (at least here).
We had a holiday/Christmas dinner party for the company I consult for last night at the Pasta Moon. I'd never been there, and it was very impressive food-wise. They had the "background" music turned up a bit too high for my taste, which made conversation a bit difficult (for me at least). However, if you're ever in Half Moon Bay, give it a try.
We went down to Princeton on day 1 and picked up a couple of live crabs. The boat we went to was also selling salmon and shrimp. I think there were at least 3 or 4 boats selling that day. Crabs are slightly smaller, but not much. No warnings about eating.
I think the bigger crab usually get sold to restaurants and distributers. In San Francisco, we can't buy from the boat. All commercial boats have to sell to the wholesaler. Then the wholesaler sells to the distributor. Then the distributor sells to the retail or restaurant operator. It's supposed to protect the industry, guarantee fair negotiated pricing, and ensure that the layers of middlemen continue to stay profitable.

Well yeah, if you are not making a profit, you are doing something wrong, and will not stay in business very long. So some people have to protect their profits by enacting laws that you cannot sell direct to the public. Of course don't tell the farmer with his roadside veggie-fruit stand that. LOL
Some body mention a farmer with a roadside Veggie stand, ohhhh we thought .10 was a good price , hmmmm , looks like we need to triple that, I bought what looked like a pint of ice cream the other day, for double the price of a gallon , don’t the stores sell full size buckets anymore,
merry Christmas y’all

Around these parts, ice cream has turned into a gourmet product. Hand crafted ice cream. I had no idea that you can get bacon ice cream.
Just like buying chocolate milk at the local Walmart grocery store. You buy a half gallon for $1.99 and a gallon for $2.69. Makes no sense to get the half gallon size unless I am forced to when they run out of the gallon size.
