I have had the last three sets of really good looking floor mats to wear out in about a year, slip all over the floor, wad up under my feet, and generally not be nearly so impressive as they first appeared that they would.
Admittedly, all of them came off the rack at some big box store or other, and cost less than thirty bucks a pair; but, they all looked impressive.
My current set has all of these little raised nubs that give the appearance of treadplate; these little raised nubs have all worn through into little holes; and, what is left of the little nubs are all over the carpet or get shook out when I shake out the mats.
While looking for something else, I stumbled upon these two possibles from Husky:
I have never before had a set of mats that cost more than thirty dollars, but I am tempted.
There is not much description on the less expensive version; but, I sort of like their look a bit the best.
Have any of you had experience with the Husky mats; how many years can I expect from them ?
Lund also has purpose-made mats for these trucks; even more money yet and all of the pictures show an example in a completely different truck.
What good long-lasting stay-in-place mats have you guys been happy with ?
Some of the ones that I have had, I have been tempted to screw them down.
Husky's are made right here in Kansas! Their quality is on par with Weathertech. I have a pair of the liners (second link) in my 85 bronco. They are 15 years old and still flexible (rigid plastic construction, not rubber).
I also scored a second set at the JY, with the crew cab rear seat liner that should fit a bronco.
I have had sets very similar to the first link and they are a heavier rubber than the autozone novelty variety. They will hold a lot of mud or slush or whatever.
I was thinking take a measurement of the area and hit the junk yard and look for a set that will fit the truck.
The mats most likely came with what ever you found them in and would be better than the $30 A Z ones and if they turn to crap go find another set.

Thanks for the first hand information on the Huskys.

I wish we still had decent junk-yards around here; the five big ones we had are long gone and the few small ones we still have don't let anything hang around before they crush it.
I hear you on the JY's in CT where I moved from was that way. Anything over 10 years old got crushed and you could not walk thru them.
I have not hit the walk thur JY's here in NC yet

+1... I used to buy weathertech. I now have Husky's in all my vehicles. Husky's stay put better they have nubs on the bottom where weathertech doesn't. Also Husky makes mats for our trucks and weather tech doesn't lol.
I went with the Weathertech AVM. Functionally I can't really complain as they are thick enough and hold well to the carpet but if the Husky's are fitted for these trucks I would lean that direction. The cut to fit just never looks quite right to me.
