Splash Guards and Shocks
Splash Guards and Shocks
First off I assume any of the above made for the 17-19's will fit the 20's. No change there that I can see. Anyway, I will need some splash guards for the new truck. I've looked at Weathertech and Husky and can get a set for less than $80. Has anyone tried those? I do need to protect my fifth wheel as much as possible from flying debris so the rear are more important. Any suggestions for my single rear wheel?
I always change out the factory shocks fairly early in the process. I see from previous posts that Bilsteins are now available. When I got the dually a couple of years ago I changed to Rancho 9000XL adjustables. Set them on 4 and never touched them again. The ride was improved, even towing. I like the simplicity of install and forget on the Bilstein 4600's but I'm not sure how much an improvement they are over stock. The Rancho's are a bit pricier but I know they work. Any suggestions here? The truck will remain stock, no leveling, raising, etc.
I also changed my steering stabilizer to a Fox on the dually as I got tired of the bump steer. Worked great. I will drive the new one for a while before I decide on changing it.
I saved my Bakflip Revolver X2 bed cover from the dually which I hope fits. I'm hoping splash guards and shocks are all I need.
