Hey everyone. Well I have about 2,700 miles on the truck now. I was thinking I wanted to change out the shocks to something a little better. What is everybody running? I've had rancho 9000's and fox 2.0 on my 2008, happy with both. Just not sure which would help the truck ride better with the dual rear wheel application. Thanks in advance!
My non-FX4 truck has 50,000 miles on the OEM shocks and I've had no complaints thus far. I have been thinking about what I'm going to install when they do start leaking and keep coming back to the Rancho 9000's. They worked very well on my old F250 and have a great warranty. My only concern is that Rancho doesn't appear to have rear shocks for our trucks that don't require modification. I really value the ability to fine tune the shocks for my comfort level.

I used part number RS999047A for my 2018 F450 rear shocks. Thats the part number Rancho told me to use, seemed to fit and work fine.

Those are the ones I was looking at. However, RS999047A is not for a dual wheel application. Not sure how much it would make a difference, but it clearly states w/o dual rear wheels!

Just put the Rancho 9000xl's and Rancho 7415 steering stabilzer on yesterday. They work fine on a dually. Very noticeable improvement. Can't believe how bad the stock shocks are compared to these. Set them on 6 in the front and 4 in the rear unloaded. Also pulled my 14' trailer with our Polaris RZR on it. Next up, the 5er toy hauler.
