Installed a hydra today, I was very careful with cleaning the contacts just a tinge of copper showing through plenty of silver left, was sure I had the right hex code..triple checked it.
Installed the idm back into the truck ran my wires all nice and neat no pinched wires etc...
turn the key on...and it pops PP HH 00 and will not start ...remove the chip still won’t start. Need some ideas.
Installed again, same issue
no start....wts comes on
I push in the clutch and tune the key
that radio turns off and everything like it normally would but nothing happens at all
So the starter won't even engage? That sounds more like something got dislodged while you were doing the chip install not a pcm problem. Not sure where the wiring is for the clutch switch but would check that

so, I did I pulled the harness out of the top of neutral safety switch and the wire on pin 2 connector was loose AF, and messing around the clutch pedal must have knocked out of contact so I jumped it together and viola it started....so disaster averted
thanks for the replies
Ok so went on about a 15 mile drive aaaaaand I gotta say...I’m not thoroughly impressed....
here’s why
it feels like all the power is between 1k-2200
it just falls on its face after that
now I usually always shift right around 24-2500
And I’ve tried about 6 different settings and they all honestly feel the same.
The go pedal is SUPER TOUCHY, almost like nothing and then bam all at once....
I have an edge cs2 and I always left it on #2 and it was smooth and pulled all the way through 2500
The settings shouldn't feel the same. There should be a noticeable difference between the lower HP and higher HP ones. As much as I HATE to have you do this.....the 140 should smoke like a tire fire from 1000 RPM when you stand on it.
If the display lights up, you shouldn't have contact issues. HOWEVER, I still see some coating on a couple of contacts (the two rightmost ones in the top picture and also the rightmost one in the second picture.
