Remote start?
Anyone have any information on this particular remote start? It’ll be for a 2019 Diesel.
if not, what do you folks recommend?

looks to be standard Ford remote start that you purchase from Ford when you did not have originally equipped.

Here's the Ford OEM remote start which I would recommend. You'll need FORScan or dealer to enable.

Definitely works on a 2019 (XL/STX). Make sure you turn down the sensitivity of the sensor. A loud motorcycle/exhaust will set off the alarm.

search the kit PN on ebay and you will find them quite a bit cheaper than from fairway. Search my previous posts and I believe there will be a link and PN with details- something like $115 and it is the exact same thing that I used on my 2017 (still need to enable (2) line items in Forscan)

Spoke with Kevin at Fairway. He said the remote start will work with my 19 Diesel. It’s a simple plug n play Ford OEM part. Lock unlock lock to start engine, no horn sound.
unfortunately you do need to take your truck to the dealership so they can hook the computer up and enable the remote start

i just ordered one. It will ship out tomorrow and hopefully I’ll have it by Saturday or next Monday at the latest

Yup. I've configured remote start both ways. Once at a dealer while I was there for an oil change anyway and didn't have FORScan. I think they charged me $40. But that's going to vary from one dealer to the next.
Another truck and time I did it myself.

I have 1 just removed fromm2018 F-350 XLT LMK if anyone is looking? New truck has factory remote start don’t need it. Bought from fairway ford $100 shipped

After reading the information on FORscan, I cant use it since I have a MAC computer and Apple phone...

On the other hand, I just saw that Best Buy has these laptops on sale for $90! Heck, the dealer wants one hour labor @ $170 to activate the remote start!
