Hi all new here. But a mechanic from aviation to semi to auto!
Have a 04 6.0 that was given to me for free..brought it back to life now have another issue I'm not sure of.
Has SD IC pipes, intake, FICM, EGR Cooler and 4in Turbo back exhaust, blue spring mod and SCT x4 tuner ( I think )
So recently truck had been giving me issues with driveability. I was having a injector off balanced code but it went away after blue spring mod.
So fast forward going to work..turned on and drive about 3 miles and dies. Just idled down and died. No smoke. Nothing like someone turned the key off.
So I knew it was injector time.
Replaced injectors with rebuilt one for KD diesel. And dummy plugs and stand pipes. All torqued to Ford SI specs.
Has oil. New ICP and New IPR valve.
Now cranking I have 0 pressure for ICP. Does not budge.
FICM reads 48v cranking
ICP desired is 1300psi
Actual reads 0psi
Fuel pump reads on with no DTCs
Is this a sign of a failed HPOP and fitting (already ordered)
What else can be the issue? I need to get this thing back on the road ASAP if someone can reach out I'd appreciate it greatly!
Welcome to the forum. If you look you will find there are threads specific to diesels and to the 6.0. You may sooner find your answers there, tons of valuable info.
Just now seeing this, but the answer is maybe. If you have the newer style pump with the snap to connect fitting, it very likely is not the pump, but the fitting alone or an issue with somewhere else in the high pressure oil system plumbing. What’s the latest?

I found out it's the old pump.
Took it apart. No visible damage that I can see. But will reassemble once new pump is here.
Been busy with work and life to deal with it sadly
