Anyone had an issue with their PVD wheels chipping? 3 of my 4 wheels are experiencing this. Going by the dealer to see if my ESP will cover this. Anyone have luck with ESP?
Been there, done that. My dealer offered to replace the 3 that were chipping plus both running boards and ended up replacing all 4 when their techs chipped two of the wheels during the swap. Ultimately it's up to the dealer as to whether they'll step up and do the leg work for the warranty claim but yeah it's covered.
Be prepared for your dealer to try and blame it on whomever installed your after-market tires.
Best of luck!

I know you meant that for OP but that's always a concern - fortunately the installer of MY aftermarket tires IS the dealer...who did chip 2/4 wheels. So....where does that leave me?
It's not uncommon for Ford wheels to do that, particularly in my part of the country with harsh winters, road salt, and huge temp swings to blistering heat. I don't know all of the ins and outs of the PVD corrosion, only that it seems standard to see this on my and my friends' vehicles with the factory chrome wheels. It's why I opted to avoid it this time around.
As others have said here and in other similar threads (search), factory warranty will cover the wheels. If you have aftermarket tired, then you may have to fight whether it was a manufacturing defect (warranty) or abuse by the tire shop (not warranty).
