Front diff questions
These might be dumb but any help would be great.
1) my front axle is the Dana 60 closed knuckle. Are the ring and pinion the same front And back. I am looking at replacing mine in the front and most parts stores I go to like rock auto only show ring and pinion for the rear.
2) does anyone have a diagram or parts list for the Dana 60 closed knuckle. The only ones I can find are for dana 44 closed knuckle. Or are the diagrams and parts list the same? Just smaller parts.

Might want to get a shop manual for what ever year truck you have. Will be your best friend in that it has your diagrams. I don't have any info about your closed knuckle, but I found that on the open knuckle 60 front all the bearing races are clearly labeled. Can pull your bearing and races and make your own parts list if nothing else works out.

I did not notice though, were the closed-knuckle 60's also high pinion? Or was that just an open-knuckle thing?
I would have assumed low pinion, but I've never played around with one either.
