7th and 8th gen power window compatibility
Does anyone know if the power window regulator and wiring harness is the same between an 86 and 87+?
I know the switches are different, but I don't know about the plugs or the rest of the internals (other than the window size is different).
From searching the forums, it looks like the motors are the same, along with the locking solenoid, but I couldn't find anything on the harness or regulator.
The reason I ask is that my 88 does not have power windows or locks and I want to add them, and I already have the passenger donor door and both panels and switches, so I just need the driver door mech and wiring, and the cross over wiring.
The local yard currently has an 86 with power windows, but I don't want to spend the time trying to remove it if it isn't nearly plug and play.

Yeah, I did exactly that, and of course most of the results were not related, or, you had to join a site to actually view the diagram. But, I don't think they cover the actual plug forms and layouts?
