Hello. New guy here. I have a 1970 F-100 that I bought it in 1978 when I was a senior in high school. (i'll do the math for ya.I'm 60) I'm retired now so this is my winter project. Long story short. drove it for a couple of years, parked it,restored it 30+ years ago, parked it again, and now i'm going to get her back on the road. It doesn't need much, mostly interior and minor engine bay stuff, but I'm sure I'll have some questions for you guys. Thanks for letting me join.
Well "Fire Engine Red" is kinda played out, that's just me. I don't really care for metal flake either. Modern paint shades are kinda weird. I like the old enamel blues and greens. Sky blue, or dark blue. If I have to look something up to figure out what color it is, that's BS. WTF is "mauve" or "fuchsia" anyway?
Wow, that thing is beautiful and I'm amazed in such good shape for PA. I grew up in Kingston NY which is a straight line from the northern PA border to the Hudson so I understand the Rust Belt. One of my first cars was a 69 Chevelle 4 door in 1984. You could see through the floor in the back and there were huge holes in the trunk floor. But that's what you get with a $300 car, lol.
