Meet Dolores. 1978 F250 Ranger CLT Camper Special, RWD, Automatic transmission, 460. She spent the last few decades as a farm truck in Washington state, recently relocated to New Jersey where my family and I bought her as a weekend project truck. My wife and I are both total beginners at automotive repair, but fell in love with her, and are looking build skills and confidence while we fix her up over the long term.
She’s obviously a beauty, but needs some TLC to be driveable. We’re several weeks into the project now (weekend work only I’m afraid), lots of learning as we go. She’s getting closer to drivable, but we’ve hit some snags.
I will follow-up post with some more details, and a few good lessons we’ve learned the hard way, for other total newbies just starting out.
For the rest of you, thanks in advance for your support and guidance. I have already learned a lot from you just from poking around on the forum - very happy to be a member now...
Hi Dolores. Welcome aboard. You're a pretty lady that will likely get more beautiful in the hands of your new human caretakers/caregivers. The forum is a great place to meet some of your relatives.
