Still wont crank

Have replaced everything that I know of - starter solenoid /relay, ignition key lock switch , Starter switch
the only thing that has not been replaced is the actuater rod under the steering wheel .
went to advance & got a steering wheel puller --bolt hole did not line up & none were the right thread design

Question does anyone know of an auto parts store that would have one to fit a 87 f 150 that I could rent , not buy

Oh I forgot --the starter works --I get it started now by jumping the small solenoid post to the hot battery post

think I will just hot wire a start button ( maybe use a horn button ) ?

Have you tried adjusting the ignition switch closer to the steering wheel? Also have you tried bypassing the clutch safety switch switch as suggested under #22 in your other thread?

yes . have tried both of the above
