Reverse Sensor Disable

Reverse Sensor Disable
I searched the forum and did not find this answer--sorry if
I missed it as I am a new member.
Does anyone know how to disable the reverse sensor on a
F350 superduty? The manual says pushing the disable
button once will keep it disabled until you turn the key again.
My dealer has confirmed that this is a misprint - it resets
every time you go into reverse. I have a truck camper
installed and the sensor alarm goes every time I go into
reverse.
Dealer was concerned about upsetting computer settings if
sensors were just unplugged. He suggested taping the
button down (yuk) - but this doesn't work either -- it is
still reset every time you go into reverse.
Thanks a lot for the Help

Fuse??????
Wire Cutters???????
Man is that a whoops.........a slide in camper on a pick-up (go figure), and the sensors on the rear bumper......another engineering feat.
Gotta admit though, that didn't occur to me either until I read this post.
Seriously....the only thing I can think of:
1. If that system is fused by itself (I can't imaginge that it is, but anyway), cut the wire near the fuse panel feeding hat fuse, put an on/off switch in line, hide, or install the switch somewhere where it looks good, and that would do it.
2. If the system has its own relay, see number 1 and do the same thing with the switching cirquit (not the load side) side of the relay.
IT's a pain in the I know, but a good set of wiring schematics would help this effort.
Damn.....never thought of this problem....

I like Krauts idea of installing a switch in the reverse input line ,this will allow you to use the system when camper is not on the truck.Another solution is to relocate the sensors so they do not pick up the overhang of the camper, thus allowing the system to be used with the camper loaded.
