So I had a 1.5 front level put on my 2019 f250 Platinum. The 1.5 level was a rough country, coil level. After the level was installed my front axle was shifted to my driver side. I had to order an adjustable track bar to fix this problem. After the track bar was installed and fixed my axle problem I had everything aligned. The truck looks great but I am going back to stock. My truck feels like it is "floating" the steering feel almost loose and dangerous. Has anybody else had these problems after a level. My truck does have adaptive steering so Idk if that is causing the "loose" feeling. Has anybody returned to stock after a level? Did everything return to normal?
The only thing that comes to mind would be the lack of sway bar drop brackets with the rough country lift. I’ve got the 2.5 readylift spring kit with drop brackets and track bar relocation bracket. After an alignment and new caster bushings It feels just as tight as stock.
Are these casters that alignment shops keep on hand? Is there trial and error involved with sorting this out? What should I tell the alignment shop? Thanks for replys
Where are these shims sold? How do I know what size shim I need? Based on the print outs of the alignment?
I would take it to a quality line up shop and let them figure it out. I bought shims that were recommended by people and they didn’t give enough caster so they ended up putting their own in which cost me more in the end.

Thanks for info. Were you having problems with loose steering as well?
100% this. I haven’t lifted a SD, but I have lifted 3 Jeeps. Lifting rotates the front axle forward, you need lower control arm modification to increase caster.
Mine drove like a bag of spanners when I had it lifted. I seriously wanted to take it off but as soon as I added the new castor shims it was like going back to stock. Make sure they fit them to the correct sides as the degree is different for each side to account for road camber. You can find them on Carli's website here.

I see these are for at least a 2.5 level. My level is a 1.5. Would they still work?

Going a little heavier on caster (into the low 5s) won’t hurt anything. The 2.5” should work fine. I suspect your 1.5” lift is a little bigger than you think anyway based on the wheel being off center...
