2013 f250 dump insert

I’m looking to run 6 gauge wire properly from my battery to my dump insert mounted in the bed. On my last truck I just ran it along the frame and around the bottom of the cab and up the through hole in the bed, and it chaffed pretty easily. Is there a trace or through wall way to easily run this wire? And help keep it safer from chafing and the elements. Thanks in advance !

You need to use rubber grommets anytime a 12vdc electrical wires passes through metal such as you are doing on the bed. Go to your local parts house or hardware such as Lowes and get some rubber grommets that the opening fits the wire size. Drill a hole large enough to install the grommet for your wire. Insert grommet and then insert wire through the grommet. This will solve your chaffing problem.
