3am wake up!!
Here is the situation, at 3am I hear the horn on my 84 F250 going off. I have know idea how long or how many neighbors I ticked off, but I throw on the jacket and run out and pull the power wire at the horn and all is quiet. Later this morning, I hook the wire back up and beep the horn using the steering wheel. One beep good, second beep and it continues on, pull the wire once again. Temps are down into the teens, and I'm suspecting the contacts in the steering wheel.
Am I on the right track?
I also just hooked the door/key buzzer back up, could this be causing an issue?

Then you have a simple power wire going up the column to the wheel, to the switch, and then back out directly to the horn or horns. You are probably on the right track. If it does it again I would take the wheel pad apart and mess with it, possibly leave it disconnected for awhile, if it doesn't do it anymore you know you are in the problem area.
